Dame Sara Thornton

Former Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner, Professor of Practice in Modern Slavery Policy and Consultant, CCLA.
Dame Sara Thornton (DBE QPM) joined CCLA in 2022, she brings her considerable experience to accelerate CCLA’s Find it, Fix it, Prevent it initiative to tackle modern slavery in investee companies’ supply chains. Following on from a highly successful career with the police, serving a three-year term until April 2022, as the UK Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner. Currently holds the position of Professor of Practice in Modern Slavery Policy at Nottingham University Rights Lab.

Professor Tim Lenton

Founding Director of the Global Systems Institute and Chair in Climate Change and Earth System Science at the University of Exeter.
Tim has more than 25 years of research experience in studying the Earth as a system, and developing and using models to understand its behaviour. Professor Lenton co-authored the “Planetary Boundaries” framework and is renowned for his work identifying climate tipping points. This award-winning work has led him on to examine positive tipping points within our social systems which could help accelerate progress towards a more sustainable future.

Gavin Francis

Founder and CEO, Worthstone

Gavin started working in financial services and alongside the advisory community in 1989.
In 2010, he founded certified B Corp, Worthstone, which was the UK’s first targeted impact investment resource platform for Financial Advice professionals. In addition to co-authoring several ground-breaking reports, Gavin has participated in government working groups to help develop impact investing in the UK. He is the co-Founder of the Wellth Sustainable Investment Portfolios, a new MPS service for financial advisers.

Rosie Rankin

Investment Specialist Director, Baillie Gifford & Co

Rosie is a investment specialist for the Positive Change Strategy, having joined Baillie Gifford in 2013 as a manager in the Clients Department. Prior to joining Baillie Gifford, she worked at Martin Currie Investment Management, Aberdeen Asset Management and Edinburgh Fund Managers. Rosie graduated MA (Hons) in Politics and Economic & Social History from the University of Edinburgh in 1997.

Randeep Somel

Fund Manager, M&G Investments

Randeep re-joined M&G in October 2023 as Deputy Fund Manager for the Sustain Paris Aligned range. Prior to joining M&G, Randeep was VP, Global Head of Sustainability and Communications at S&P 500 listed Iron Mountain. Randeep had previously worked at M&G, and at different stages he was Fund Manager or Deputy Manager of the Global Themes, Managed Growth, Global Recovery, and Climate Solutions Impact strategies. He graduated from Birmingham University with an economics degree in 2003.

David Rowlett

Portfolio Manager, US Impact Strategy, T. Rowe Price
David Rowlett is the portfolio manager for the US Impact Equity Strategy. David's has been with T. Rowe Price since 2008, beginning as an equity analyst covering multi-industrial companies, followed by over 10-years as portfolio manager on US Growth and Core strategies. Prior to joining T. Rowe Price, David worked in NYC first as an Investment Banker in the Financial Institutions Group at Merrill Lynch, before joining Neuberger Berman as an equity analyst, and all-cap Core portfolio manager.

Ken Van Weyenberg

Senior Client Portfolio Manager, Client Portfolio Management, Candriam

Ken Van Weyenberg has been Senior Client Portfolio Manager – Thematic Global Equity since 2021. Previously, he was Candriam’s Head of Client Portfolio Management – Private Clients & Asset Allocation since 2017, after joining Candriam in 2010 as Senior Investment Specialist in Private Clients & Asset Allocation.
Before joining the asset management industry, Ken spent three years in media and financial journalism at Kanaal Z/Canal Z and Moneytalk & Cash.

Anita Bhatia

Senior Adviser

Anita is a senior investment adviser with over 20 years’ experience in strategy and portfolio management. She advises boards and executive teams in relation to sustainable and impact investments, asset allocation, manager research, and risk management. Anita previously served as Investment Director at Guy's and St Thomas' Foundation and has held senior roles at Barclays and AXA Investment Managers. Currently, she serves on the boards of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and Resonance Ltd.

Sandy Trust

Former Chair of the IFoA Sustainability Board and IFoA Council member
Sandy Trust is passionate about climate change and sustainability. His personal mission is to help re-connect finance and the economy to nature and the biosphere to deliver a future worth living in.
He leads IFoA climate research with Earth System scientists, recent papers include Emperor’s New Climate Scenarios and Climate Scorpion – the sting is in the tail. Sandy sits on IFoA Council and is past Chair of IFoA Sustainability Board. He works in financial services with large investors.

Jenn-Hui Tan

Chief Sustainability Officer, Fidelity

Jenn-Hui Tan is Chief Sustainability Officer for Fidelity International. Jenn is responsible for providing external and internal leadership for Fidelity’s sustainable investing activities, including the strategy and policies on engagement, voting and ESG integration. Jenn joined Fidelity International in 2007 from Norton Rose Fulbright, where he was a corporate finance lawyer advising on capital market and M and A transactions. He holds an LLB Law degree from the University of Durham.

Phil Spyropoulos

Partner, Eversheds Sutherland

Phil helps asset managers and wealth managers with their products. He prides himself on knowing the industry, not talking or writing like a lawyer, and giving practical, commercial advice. He has been central in industry discussions on the FCA’s SDR.

James Corah

Head of Sustainability, CCLA

Architect of sustainable investing at CCLA. Delivering real and lasting change through active stewardship, integrating ESG factors into our investment processes and ensuring portfolios are aligned with our clients’ values. These programmes have improved corporate behaviour on climate, the Living Wage and modern slavery. Recognised in Investment Week’s Sustainable Investment Awards 2023 for his Outstanding Contribution to the Sustainable Investment Industry.

Letty Byatt

Social Impact Analyst, Columbia Threadneedle Investments

Letty Byatt is a Social Impact Analyst in the Investment Grade Credit team at Columbia Threadneedle Investments. She joined the company in 2022 and works closely with the portfolio managers to identify positive social impact opportunities for the social bond strategies. Letty also focuses on fixed income issuer and industry engagement to promote social impact investment awareness and best practice. Letty has a BSc (hons) in Psychology with Middle Eastern Studies and French Language.

Seb Beloe

Partner, Head of Research, WHEB Asset Management

Seb has spent nearly 30 years working at the nexus of business, investment, and sustainability. Since 2012, he's been Partner and Head of Research at WHEB.
Seb has contributed to the development of industry standards and regulations through participation in several expert and advisory committees including with the British Standards Institute, the GIIN, the Financial Conduct Authority and groups like the Future-Fit Foundation and the Big Exchange.

Jamie Broderick

Deputy Chair of the Impact Investing Institute

Jamie Broderick is a Deputy Chair of the Impact Investing Institute, an independent, non-profit UK organisation that aims to accelerate the growth and improve the effectiveness of the impact investing market.
Jamie was head of UBS Wealth Management in the UK from 2013-2017. Jamie joined UBS after nineteen years at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, latterly as Chief Executive of its European operations. He joined J.P. Morgan in New York in 1993 and moved to London in 1996.

Abigail Rotheroe

Worthstone Investment Committee

Abigail has over 20 years of investment experience, most recently as the Investment Director at Snowball Impact Management, a sustainable and impact-focused asset manager. Previously Abigail has managed Asia Pacific portfolios in Hong Kong and London. She is a CFA Charterholder and Non Executive Director of Baillie Gifford Shin Nippon, Templeton Emerging Markets, Greencoat UK Wind and HydrogenOne Capital Growth and is a member of WHEB Asset Management’s Advisory Committee.
