Who are the people that lead Worthstone?

Gavin Francis

Founder and CEO, Worthstone

Gavin began his career in financial services in 1989, working closely with the advisory community. In 2010, he founded Worthstone, the UK’s first sustainable investment resource platform for Financial Advice and Wealth Management professionals and a certified B Corp. He has co-authored several pioneering reports and worked with government groups shaping the responsible investing landscape in the UK. Gavin is also a founding team member of Wellth, a sustainable investment Managed Portfolio Service.

Ian Gethin

Non-Executive Director

Ian is a non-executive director at Worthstone, where he helps us expand access to sustainable investing solutions. In the nineties, he worked at an investment bank in London before co-founding an infrastructure fund in 2003. His interest in sustainable investing began in 2012, after meeting Gavin. Ian now chairs both our board and investment committee. He is also a trustee of several charities.

Abigail Rotheroe

External Adviser

Abigail is an external adviser to Worthstone and a member of our Investment Committee. She has a wide range of experience in portfolio management with a strong focus on impact and sustainable investment. She is a CFA Charterholder and is currently a Non Executive Director on a number of investment trust boards, charitable investment committees and is a member of the WHEB Asset Management’s Advisory Committee.

Declan McAndrew

External Adviser

Declan is an external adviser to Worthstone and sits on our Investment Committee. He provides expert insight and independent oversight for our ratings methodology and Impact Portal analysis. Declan is Head of Investment Research at Foster Denovo and a CFA Charterholder. A strong advocate of sustainable investing, Declan shares our belief in a future where sustainable finance is standard practice.

Neil Pearson

Non-Executive Director

Neil has worked with Worthstone in various roles since 2013. He is Head of ESG and Social Value at Mills & Reeve, a UK law firm, where he helps deliver their Responsible Business strategy. Neil built a national reputation in social finance, advising social enterprises and sustainable investors. He has also worked with businesses to promote broader employee share ownership. His experience brings depth and clarity to our mission.
